I wouldn’t call myself a bartender but I do know how to drink. And I wouldn’t call myself an expert at drinking but like my best friend Carrie Bradshaw I love a cocktail that reminds me of the city I call home. LA is known for its bright and flavorful cocktails but when you’re a single mom sometimes grabbing your favorite healthy juice from Trader Joe’s and throwing a little (or a lot... depending on your day) of your favorite vodka, tequila, rum or gin in a fancy glass can be the happy ending to a somewhat stressful day. So throw a little somethin' somethin' in your cart and remember you don’t always have to work hard to play hard.
Time: 4 mins Serving 1-2 depending on if you want to share.
- 1 bottle Suja Watermelon Whim (Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods)
- 1 12oz glass of ice (crushed is my favorite)
- 3 oz or 2 shots of white rum (vodka gets the job done as well)
- ⅓ cup fresh raspberries
- 1 cocktail shaker
Put the ice in your cocktail shaker (if you don’t have a shaker you can use a mixing bowl).
Pour all your ingredients into your cocktail shaker.
Shake it up.
Pour into glass.
And drink up!
Use Suji Green Supreme Juice (same recipe as above, however, replace the raspberries with Kiwi.
